3D Print Spiral Marble Puzzle
4 "Marbles" are print in place with the spiraling tower, as an entrapped marble puzzle. The marbles are free to move along any of the 4 spiraling rails, and can freely move to the next rail at the intersections.
The parts used are printed using Flashforge Finder.

3D Print Star In Cage Puzzle
Переглядів 2,3 тис.Рік тому
This is a simple "puzzle" of a star confined inside a cage. Because the star and cage is "print in place", there is actually no way of removing the star out of the cage, unless the cage is broken. This is intended to be a simple demo toy of how 3D printing can be used to have non-touching independent parts confined inside another. The parts used are printed using Flashforge Finder. The design i...
3D Print Rzeppa Joint (Constant Velocity) Mechanism
Переглядів 14 тис.2 роки тому
Rzeppa Joint is a type of mechanical coupling to transmit rotational motion through a variable angle. Unlike a Universal Joint, the input and output speeds are the same, hence the name "constant velocity" joint. This mechanism is typically found in automobile applications. 3D Print Design Concept: Snap Ring & Bore (Fusion 360)
Переглядів 1,5 тис.2 роки тому
Snap rings or Retaining Rings are typically used to "lock things in place". Traditional metal types are used in manufacturing for ages, but this design was developed to be 3D printable. This video is intended to share how I designed the snap ring and the bore geometries. If this design is useful, then it can be adapted to your designs to fit your needs. Hello mate, I really like your design, it both looks cool and inspiring. Your project's video is the only one that I can found on yt that might be useful. And I also have a question about it. Is the inner ball cage ( the one holds the ball inside outer and inner parts and also keep them in their guide lines ) touches both inner and outer parts ? Or is there a small gap between them like 1 mm or so ? I really appreciate if you answer my question. Thanks.

Not sure that you know the definition of the word you used, but when l looked it up 'contra' is a video game introduced in February of 1978 and has NOTHING to do with your video. The word you SHOULD HAVE used in reference to the two propellers is "COUNTER-ROTATING" AND not CONTRA. IF YOU RESEARCH THE MILITARY AIRCRAFT you will find a lot of airplanes having counter-rotating propellers and even in today's world you will find this set up somewhat common. Bottom line, the word "contra" is not a contraction nor is it even close to being a contraction for "Counter-rotating" as used in the area of aviation propellers. My background, retired airline pilot, flight instructor airplanes, instrument instructor and multi engine instructor, air-frame and power plant mechanic and last but not least, aviation history buff. Just to let you know, you are not the only person that does not know what you are talking about. There is one more person l saw on UA-cam having the same mentality and being uneducated as to what you are trying to talk about. Derogatory comments are not needed, keep them to yourself ! ! ! !

see a lot of 3d printed gear models and none of them have small bearings in them, eg. ones from the 1:10th model cars as they are small and would fit great into some of the gear 3d prints you have made. I dont get when making a shaft with metal thread into a plastic hole!?

The great thing about these non- verbal videos is that they show exactly how something works without voiceovers laden with jargon that do little to shed any light but serve instead to sound convincing and authoritative because they use impressive words. Well done.

No. Propellors work because their blades are airfoil shaped and thus leverage the Bernoulli Effect to create forward lift (i.e. thrust). No atmosphere = no Bernoulli Effect = no thrust.

I looked this up on a lark just because I was curious how you get two props to spin opposite ways on a single shaft and you did not disappoint. In fact this is all so much more ingenious and simple than I thought possible.
